I’ve been an avid seamstress and textile artist for over two decades. I grew up in Minnesota and was part of 4H and Girl Scouts as a child; an appreciation for domestic crafts like sewing, baking, gardening, and needlecraft was part of my upbringing. Since moving to the Bay Area to attend the San Francisco Art Institute, where I earned an MFA in painting, I have become obsessed with the delicious fresh foods and food culture of Northern California. In 2015, I decided to pursue my passion and founded Jenny Lemons, a collection of sustainable women’s clothing and textiles inspired by beautiful food. All of my products are block printed, hand painted and sewn in my San Francisco-based studio. Teaching others how to slow down and create a piece of textile art by hand is a passion of mine. I love helping my students make items to beautify their homes and give as gifts while learning traditional craft techniques. I am a formally trained artist, and bring this perspective into my teaching- I encourage students to experiment, express themselves, and have fun! View my work at jennylemons.com
