Lady Sheep portrait drawing in progress .. ready to ship within 1 day of purchase • This lovely lady sheep will dreamily look into your eyes and request a prime place to be displayed in your home. This is a drawing from my series "A Wild Sheep Chase", inspired by the Japanese author Haruki Murakami's book of this title. This fascination with sheep took me unexpected and by surprise. At first I just made a few large ewe (the correct name for lady sheep, in case, like me, you didn't know) drawings. They found such an enthusiastic response and so many people bought them literally off my living room wall that I just kept drawing more and more sheep.. Soon I plan to expand to donkey, camel and alpaca.. I hope that you will take the chance on this drawing, which will look a little but not a lot different once it is finished.. This is an opportunity to own a unique piece of illustration. Looking forward to visiting the post office.
An Artist-Photographer from Germany, recently relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area after living in Northern England for most of my adult life.
I take great joy in making my students feel comfortable with their skills and sharing my enthusiasm for the practice of shaping lines into drawings on paper.
My educational background: I graduated from an excellent London university with a postgraduate degree in Fine Art My professional background: I was selected as one of 40 Artists to Watch in the UK for the year 2011, exhibited at international locations, including the prestigious ICA in London, The Benaki Museum in Athens, QUAD in Derby (UK), various smaller contemporary Art galleries.
I have made a living selling drawings whenever I chose to dedicate myself to making drawing practice pay my living wage.
I have years of experience teaching a variety of private and small group setting classes. Classes ranging from drawing with beginners to improvers. Some students fell as much in love with charcoal and ink as I continue to be. For a series of summers, I co-ran a range of art and craft workshops with community groups and schools. Overall, I have experience in working with ages ranging from 4 to 77 .
I offer drawing classes and workshops for individuals and small groups. Beginners and improvers are most warmly welcome.
