For this new collection, we collaborated with Kari Breitigam, a Houston-based textile artist. She took a couple of our best-selling fabrics and applied her amazing hand-dyeing techniques, making every tie in this collection one-of-a-kind. Inspired by the classic mid-century cut and made using utilitarian inspired fabric, this skinny tie is a perfect way to dress up jeans or to add that casual (but classy) element to a suit. Width: 2.5" Fabric: Recycled Hemp/Organic Cotton Blend (All sustainably sourced, homemade) Care: Dry Clean To make a purchase, please pick the one(s) you like from the pictures, and let me know through Verlocal's message platform. Thanks!
Kathrine Zeren is a Houston, Texas native with a BFA in Apparel Design from the Rhode Island School of Design. After several years of working as a womenswear designer for larger retailer, she decided to take time off for volunteering and missions related work in Eastern Europe and South Africa. At the time, making neckties as a way to raise money for her trip seemed like a fun challenge. She had never ventured into designing men's clothing or accessories, but had always looked to it for inspiration, loving the quality of fabrics and attention to detail that often isn't present in womenswear. Deciding to turn this hidden dream into a reality, Kathrine was inspired by companies who have championed socially conscious business practices by streamlining production in a way which enables high quality products to be offered at an affordable price.
