100 Gates Project - Lower East Side Street Art
The now-completed 100 Gates Project helped connect local street artists with businesses to turn the Lower East Side's roll-down gates into beautiful art. Starting down in Chinatown and up in the LES, the neighborhood has been transformed into a living art gallery. Join me for a fun & informative walking tour of this historic neighborhood... and see some great street art! (Note: In order to ensure a maximum number of gates are still down, this will be an early morning tour.)
Jeremy Wilcox is a licensed tour guide through the NYC Dept of Consumer Affairs, and a lifelong New Yorker. He specializes in off-the-beaten-path walking tours for those looking for the oft-missed parts of New York City. Whether you've only been here once, or a dozen times, there are countless of amazing sites and neighbors to explore for the first time. Even most New Yorkers do not get around to seeing them all. My goal is to help you discover these hidden treasures, from the perspective of an enthusiastic veteran.
