Learn how to evoke powerful performances to tell the story you envision. Participants will have the opportunity to practice the Access method by directing actors in three short movie scenes throughout the day. For participants, Jeremy will coach you through these rehearsals to help guide you to your vision. If you don't feel ready to dive in, you have the option to be an observer. You will see the various participants working with the same scene and pair of actors while witnessing how much a director’s input can radically change any scene for better or worse. Directors Access Workshop is a fun and safe place to explore the craft of directing actors while expanding your director’s tool box and skill set. When a scene is not working, directors often make a misdiagnosis of where the problem emanates. This workshop is a great opportunity to discover how to correct that common mistake by learning all six points of the Access method. During the workshop you’ll learn to diagnose a performance problem accurately, so the correct method of adjustment can be implemented. You will also learn effective and efficient ways to communicate with actors which will save time on set and build confidence in your cast.
