Knit In Public Day: Come Learn Basic Knitting With CraftJam
Are you interested in learning more about knitting but don't know where to start? Are you looking for cool fellow knitters to knit with? We would like to welcome you to our free knitting in the park event! This Saturday is a World Wide Knitting in Public day and to honor that we are hosting a knit hangout in Washington Square Park. We will have supplies ready for beginners to teach cast on and basic stitches (just RSVP so we know how many is coming) or just bring your own knitting project with you. It will be a fun day with (hopefully) sun, cooling drinks, new friends and the magic of knitting. Should the weather be rainy, we will move the event either to a near by cafe or to our office at 33 West 17th st, 5th floor, where the party will go on. We will update you on the location day of.
If you’re in the mood for DIY, looking to take up a new hobby, or just want an excuse to get out of your apartment and do something fun and stress-free, CraftJam is the place for you! Here at CraftJam, we have literally made it our business to provide real-world workshops where anyone can make and create cool DIY projects in an upbeat and social setting. We know first-hand how therapeutic jewelry making can be after a long work day, and how friendships blossom over yarn, wine and conversation. Not sure you’re the creative type? Don’t worry about it! Whether you join us on your own or bring a plus-one (or five), we invite people of all skill-levels to come create with us! This is a great opportunity to give your brain a break from city life and let your imagination run wild!
