Harlem Gospel Concert Series
No more waiting in long lines on Sunday to enjoy gospel music in Harlem. Wednesday is the New Sunday for live gospel music in Harlem! Time to shout, rock, clap and sing to the sounds of gospel music in Harlem on Wednesday. You asked and we answered. Welcome to Harlem presents the hand-clapping, foot-stomping rhythms of African American soulful gospel performance every Wednesday at 11am and we are holding a seat for you. Start your day off right with a spiritual awakening. See you on Wednesdays, the New Sunday for live gospel in Harlem. Gospel music has always been a driving force in the African American community and what better way to truly experience a gospel performance. This is not a gospel service like on Sunday, but you will still feel and experience the deep spiritual connection that is felt every Sunday service through the music. The Harlem Gospel Concert Series is artistically directed by Craig Harris, a trombonist, composer and longtime Harlem resident. Harris has been a major figure in the music scene since 1976. He has performed throughout the USA and abroad with some of the genre's most important figures. House doors open at 10:30 a.m. every Wednesday.
