We open your eyes and ears to the rich history and cultural diversity of Harlem through music, dance, theatre, shopping and dining. We also collaborate with local businesses and organizations to bring special events to you and the Harlem community. We even provide custom tours, educational tours, music programs, and workshops… no group is too big or small. It is time for you to embark on a journey through present-day Harlem – to see the people and places of the Harlem Renaissance and discover why this period in American history was so magical and important for African-American culture. Did you ever wonder where Jungle Alley was, or why 135th Street was such a crucial area during Harlem Renaissance? Well now is the time to lace up your sneakers and bring your imagination. Let us help you to discover some of the most beautiful and wonderful theaters, homes, and churches in Harlem that where jumping during the Renaissance. Also, on our journey you will hear, see and feel the history surrounding the most influential individuals who helped to cultivate this magical journey known as the Harlem Renaissance -- Langston Hughes, Pig Foot Mary, Duke Ellington, Madame CJ Walker, Jacob Lawrence, James Van Der Zee, Zora Nealson Hurston and many others. Once the walking tour comes to a close you will be treated to a lunch at a local Harlem restaurant.
