What we'll do

Reclaim Your Joy Book Workshop will be led by Life Coach and Psychotherapist, Kerry Ito, MA, LCPC. You know how a lot of professional women have stress in their work and life. Some even wear it as a badge of honor though they’re not sure how to manage it. They try things like having a glass of wine, working out, or a girls’ night out. And while these may give them some relief, the problem is they haven’t dealt with the source. So, they look around one day and the stress has taken over their life—there’s little or no joy left. So what happens is that relationships suffer, work suffers even the activities that used to bring you joy suffer. You begin to see stress-related health problems like weight gain, sleep problems and digestive issues. Well, I am Kerry Ito, a Reclaim Your Joy Guru, and with my simple 7-step process, my clients learn how to reclaim balance, freedom and joy. My clients say they are thankful to have a strategy for managing their stress, and they’re relieved to know that stress is not a necessary evil for success in the corporate world. But at the end of the day, what probably matters most is that they have more self-confidence, enjoy their work more, and can feel joy again or maybe for the first time. In this workshop, I will take you through my 7-step process where you will learn to: 1. Recognize the different areas of your life where you feel stressed 2. Use mindfulness skills to focus inward and identify the feelings beneath the stress, such as anxiety and frustration 3. Pinpoint the negative thoughts and beliefs that lead to the anxiety and frustration. 4. Develop the knowledge and skills needed overcoming these stressful feelings reprogram those negative beliefs that many of us have about ourselves 5. Integrate the knowledge and skills we need to live the life want 6. Assess how these changes we’ve made have affected our life 7. Celebrate reclaiming balance, freedom, and joy Repeat as needed. Thursday, September 29th, 2016 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm $35 100% of any tips made to your instructor go straight to him/her and are completely optional. ---------------------------------------------------------- About you Instructor, Kerry Greetings fellow seekers of joy, I am a life coach and psychotherapist who has been working in private practice since 2002. Prior to becoming a clinical counselor, I was a corporate consultant and analyst for companies such as Bankers Life and Casualty, The Chicago Tribune, and Harris Bank. This corporate experience provided me a unique world view, as well as leading me to my calling of helping others find balance, freedom and joy in their lives.
