Blue Collar Beer Tour | Alameda & San Leandro
No hard hats required for this tour but be ready for strong and well-constructed beers. These Brewers are brave and hard at work producing some of the most popular craft beers in the country. Keep it casual with a refreshing Hell of High Watermelon or experience the intensity of a Hopacalypse. Honestly there are too many delicious options for every kind of palette. On this tour passengers will visit breweries on the industrial side of San Leandro. Compared to its neighboring city of Oakland, San Leandro plays a newer role in beer history, but today this industrious city has put itself on the beer map. You will also visit Alameda to taste innovative beers and learn about the brewing process. Sip and relax while enjoying amazing views of the bay and ride through some beautiful neighborhoods. Included: - Safe and comfortable round-trip transportation - Professional and friendly guide with beer knowledge - Visit a minimum of 3 breweries - A beer tasting at each brewery - A brewery facility tour at one stop (if available) - Gratuity for brewery staff - An opportunity to speak with knowledgeable brewery personnel (if available) - Complimentary on board snacks and non-alcoholic beverages ------------------------------------------------------------------ Meals are not included however there are food options at multiple locations throughout the tour for purchase. I recommend either eating well prior to the tour, bringing your own food on the tour, eating at one of the tour locations, or eating together after the tour at a nearby restaurant. A cooler is provided on board so you may bring some of your favorite beers to enjoy on board. Be prepared to share. All guests are picked up and dropped off in front of Pacific Coast Brewing Co. in beautiful Old Oakland next to the Convention Center. Breweries you may visit are Pacific Coast Brewing Co, Faction Brewing, Alameda Island Brewing, Cleophus Quealy, Drake's Brewing Co., 21st Amendment. Price does NOT include gratuity for the guide/driver. A standard gratuity of 10% may be given at your own discretion. All passengers must be 21 or older. ID's are checked prior to boarding. Tours may be canceled by WBW: On occasions, Whole Brew World must cancel a tour in response to insufficient bookings. If I must cancel the entire tour, you will receive a full refund.
It's a brave beer world and I'm a brave beer girl. I'm a Certified Cicerone Beer Server with over 25 years in the hospitality industry. What I enjoy most is meeting wonderful people and building relationships. I love to share my love of life with others. It thrills me to be able to make people feel right at home and to share new and different experiences with everyone along the way. I'm a Bay Area native and want to continue to support our local economy and business owners. I started this company with the goal of melding my passion for craft beer with my experience in hospitality. My dream is to share all of the amazing microbreweries our Bay Area has to offer with whomever wants to enjoy the ride with me. I love beer and most importantly - I love to share it with friends (new and old). The name Whole Brew World was created to encompass my vision of providing yearly tours to national and/or international breweries around the globe. If you have any suggestions of a tour you would love to take please feel free to share your ideas with me. But for now, there are enough options in my backyard to share with all of you. Hop on board with me and enjoy a flight (or two or three). I will take care of you and make sure you have a great time!
