Come knit (or crochet, embroider, needle felt, etc.) with us at our special Saturday Stitch & Bitch on World Wide Knit in Public Day! Come on down to the shop any time between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. for a session of needlework and making friends! All different people, fiber arts, and skill levels are welcome. And as part of the wider celebration of WWKIP Day, we strongly encourage groups of friends to go have lunch at some of the great restaurants in our neighborhood and bust out their knitting, head to Catahoula Coffee Co. on the corner and show off your stitching, or go for a walk around the beautiful Aquatic Park and get some sun while working! *** Please keep in mind this is a social event, NOT a class, and there are no tables, tools, or power provided, so please bring portable projects. *** You can always ask for help from friends and shop staff, but please do not ask for lessons. If you need low-cost lessons send us an email and we are happy to help! *** Please be respectful of our space, products, and other customers & stitch-and-bitchers. We encourage lively conversation as long as it remains civil - be polite, and try to stitch at least as much as you bitch! *** Our shop is dog-friendly as long as your dogs get along with lots of people and other dogs, but we discourage bringing children as this is a fun grown-up event. Feel free to bring snacks to share (totally optional), and our snacks and tea will be provided for free as always. This is a free event, but if you'd like to contribute a few dollars to keep the lights on it is very much appreciated!
